Privacy policy

Your practice stays yours.

Saylogue is designed for private rehearsal. This policy explains what the iPhone app and this website handle, what stays on your device, and what choices you control.

Effective July 31, 2026

At a glance

Information the iPhone app handles

The app may handle the scenario details you enter, microphone recordings made during practice, speech transcripts, speaking timing, user-selected readiness or discomfort, story drafts, retries, missions, reflections, and app preferences.

These records are stored locally on your device for the current release. Product analytics are also local-only. The app does not include advertising trackers.

Speech recognition and audio

Saylogue requests microphone and speech-recognition permission only when you start a speaking activity. It uses Apple speech recognition and requests on-device recognition where the selected language and downloaded model support it. If on-device recognition is unavailable, Saylogue explains the limitation rather than silently uploading your recording to a third-party AI provider.

Audio is temporary unless you explicitly retain a take. You can stop or cancel recording at any time. Permission denial leaves written practice and other non-audio features available.

Feedback boundaries

Saylogue separates observable signals, such as pace, pauses, repetition, and transcript structure, from coaching interpretation. It does not infer honesty, personality, intelligence, worth, mental state, emotion, or medical conditions from your voice. It is not a diagnostic, therapeutic, or crisis service.

Subscriptions

If you choose Saylogue Plus, Apple processes payment information. RevenueCat uses an anonymous app-specific identifier to validate purchase history, manage subscription status, and restore access. Saylogue does not receive your full payment-card details or send RevenueCat your practice content, contact details, or advertising identifier.

Website analytics

This website does not load optional analytics until you choose “Allow analytics.” If you consent, we may use a self-hosted Umami installation for aggregate visit and action counts and Microsoft Clarity to understand page interaction. These tools are not included in the iPhone app. Choosing “Essential only” keeps them off.

Sharing

Share artifacts are generated for preview first. You choose the content and destination. Saylogue does not publish raw recordings, private prompts, names, or transcripts by default.

Export, deletion, and retention

Settings provides local export and deletion controls. Deleting app data removes the local practice history managed by Saylogue. Uninstalling the app also removes its local container, subject to Apple device backups you control.

Children

Saylogue is designed for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect a child's practice content through the website.

Security and changes

We minimize data transfer and restrict access to operational systems. No storage method is perfectly secure. Material policy changes will be dated here before they take effect.
